Yeah, I know that I’ve neglected this blog for far too long. What can I say? I’m making the effort to keep it more current now.

I’ve recently come across a new piece of software called Macro Marketer. Basically it’s designed to save time by automating those annoying but necessary repetitive tasks such as handling my email and checking my website stats. Macro Marketer can take care of all of my logging into my social marketing websites and PPC campaigns and so much more.

The easiest way to explain the concept of this new software is if I use Adobe’s Photoshop™ as an example. In Photoshop™ you have the ability to create what Adobe call “actions”. These actions are small programmed routines that can be created to work within Photoshop™ to automate repetitive tasks that can save a lot of time. Macro Marketer is designed to automate any tasks on a computer that are performed over and over again.

The developers of this amazing software have supplied it with a large number of ready-made routines that we can use straight from the box, but the real power is in its simplicity when it comes to creating our own. There’s a pdf training manual included, but that pales in comparison to the help functions that are built into the software. As a piece of software, Macro Marketer has a learning curve, but you don’t need to be a programmer to make it work for you. A number of “HowTo” videos are included with the software and these demonstrate the “basics”, but there’s no substitute for playing around with this software to get to grips with it.

I’ve been thinking about the uses that I can put it to, and building basic minisites, blogs and Squidoo™ lenses are some of the applications that I’ve come up with.  I haven’t come across anything like this before, and I don’t know of anything other software that allows me to automate so much of my daily work. It’s not expensive either. You can see a demonstration video over at http://www.PushButtonMacroMarketing.com.

Who knows, it may be worth your while taking a look at it!
